AMHERST- Before Green Thumb Industries opens the doors to its Amherst medical marijuana dispensary to patients, it welcomed the public to take a sneak peek on Wednesday.

It all started as an idea on a napkin during a meeting at Johnny's Roadside Diner in Hadley between GTI Chief Executive Officer Pete Kadens, Matthew Yee, and Matthew's father, well-known area restaurateur Andy Yee.

Now it's a glistening retail establishment catering to the needs of the medical marijuana community in Amherst and beyond.
