GTI LLC, a Chicago-based company, will have a workforce of 15 to 20 employees for the planned late March opening of its medical marijuana dispensary in Erie.
Pete Kadens, GTI’s chief executive, outlined company plans for its Erie facility Thursday night during a town hall meeting at the Zem Zem Shrine & Banquet Facility in Millcreek Township.
Kadens fielded questions from a standing-room-only crowd of more than 400, many of whom attended the event to meet with GTI officials about employment opportunities.
GTI’s medical marijuana dispensary will occupy the first floor of an Erie office building at 2108 W. Eighth St.
“As the market grows and the patient count grows, employment could expand,″ Kadens said. “It probably could top 30 to 35, but it’s really probably going to settle in the 15 to 20 spot. We only have a retail operation in Erie, and most of those people will be patient care specialists, who will be the people who are servicing the patients.″READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE AT GOERIE.COM
